    One automatic programming tool, SciComp, has hit the marketplace and researchers are working on ever more of them, reports Newsweek. For instance, Kestrel Institute, a nonprofit R&D center in Palo Alto, Calif., has created a tool that translates business needs into guidelines a computer can understand. The tool has been used to create software for scheduling cargo deployment for the U.S. military.
